The 14th NIZO Dairy Conference will serve as a platform for professionals to share their insights, exchange knowledge, and collaborate on the design and manufacture of novel and improved foods and dairy ingredients. This conference aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge scientific research and practical applications in the dairy industry.

  • Lectures: In total 19 lectures will be given on the topics the following topics: dairy science and technology, processing, microbiology, chemistry, physics, sensory, health, and nutritional sciences.
  • NIZO visit and tour: After the 2-day conference, you will have the opportunity to visit NIZO facilities in Ede. NIZO visit

As the hosts of the NIZO Dairy Conference, we are excited to offer you a unique opportunity to visit NIZO. We have created an interesting tour to show you different areas of expertise of our core capabilities. During the NIZO site visit these topics/locations will be visited:

  • Sustainability & processing: How to change your processing to be more sustainable? By Sustainability Expert Dr. Kevin van Koerten.
  • Hybrids & dairy analogue: What about taste & texture? By Senior Project Manager Flavour & Texture Dr. Els de Hoog.
  • Microbial contamination control: How to integrate it in dairy and plant-based product development? By Principal Scientist Food Quality Dr. Marjon Wells-Bennik.
  • Gut health trough food: A market on the rise. By Microbiology Expert Jolanda Lambert.

A visit to the NIZO facilities in Ede is included as part of the registration fee. All conference delegates are encouraged to attend in order to see, taste, and experience the latest developments at NIZO in an interactive way. The site visits will take place on Friday morning 20 October 2023 directly after the conference, just before you travel back home. Please contact Elsevier to book this visit.
