NIZO appoints Nikolaas Vles as CEO

Nikolaas Vles will be appointed as CEO of NIZO Group BV as per September 1st, 2023. He brings a wealth of international experience in food and food ingredients and a true passion to play a key role in the required food transition and raising impact through partnerships. Nikolaas joins us from ICL Group where he most recently held the CEO position at Prolactal GmbH in Austria. 

In his new position, Nikolaas will lead the NIZO organisation to help more customers transform their food products or ingredients, working in close cooperation to help improve speed to market and help enhance success.

With 75 years of renowned contract research expertise in protein and fermentation and product scale-up, along with the largest food-grade pilot plant for third-party use in Europe, NIZO is here to help the transition from animal to plant based protein, enhance health benefits, strengthen food safety and make your food process more efficient, ultimately leading to better food and health.
