The Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Food Product & Process Modelling, comprising PSE and NIZO, provides a single-point service for food characterisation and predictive modelling. Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) is the leading supplier of Advanced Process Modelling software and digital design and operation technology and services to the process industries.
The strategic partnership of NIZO and HAS aims to develop new process technologies, insights and plant-based foods and ingredients contributing to the protein transition and extends the pilot facilities in the area of bakery and (alcoholic) beverages. Joined projects have result in, for example, new process routes for plant-based ingredient production as well as new product concepts based on these ingredients, such as creamy ice cream based on faba bean protein.
The strategic partnership of NIZO and VHL aims to develop new process technologies for sustainable food/dairy products and extends the pilot facilities. Joined projects have result in, for example, new simulation models to improve bioavailability of proteins by enhanced processing. NIZO and VHL also co-operate in improving food process performance by using advanced computer simulation tools.
